Newborn Girl Photography Session

This gorgeous girl was my first newborn of 2022. Her family was the absolute sweetest! Mom requested neutrals and florals, my absolute favorite for little girls. Grandpa and Grandma joined in on the session for reinforcements with big brother, but he was a champ! Grandpa personally picked out her outfit for family pictures and I love the personal touch it brings to the session.

She definitely set the tone for 2022, because she was a rock star! We were able to do quite a few sets and I am obsessed. The sweet little bear bonnet is one of my favorites. Did you know that the pose used with the bear bonnet is called the Froggy pose in the Newborn Photography world? It is what we call a composite image, which means it is two or more images composited into one. Baby never poses like this all on their own. I have an assistant who first holds baby’s wrists, balancing her head, and then she switches to holding her head nice and secure, then viola! You get the cutest image ever.

I was super excited when mom loved the green I picked out for baby girl. I love switching it up from traditional pink or purple and using more Earth tones in a session. The tone was just so pretty on her. Another request I had was to not make it super winter/Christmas-y. Even though baby girl was born in December, mom wanted florals that were more year round. This is where I pulled in some yellows for the bucket. It was the perfect touch to round out this gallery and include as many tones as possible but still staying cohesive. I just love how they all turned out. Bring on the new year and all the babies!
